The City of Carmel invites community members and visitors to experience the 19th annual Artomobilia on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., an extraordinary event celebrating automotive design. Bringing together collector cars and enthusiasts, the signature event transforms the streets of the Carmel Arts & Design District and Monon Boulevard through Midtown.
This year’s showcase features nearly 500 original, period-correct and enthusiast-owned automobiles, spanning historic classics, competition legends, modern exotics and supercars. Spread across more than a mile of downtown streets, the event is designed to be explored on foot, with cars displayed the way they were meant to be seen. More than a traditional car show, Artomobilia highlights the craftsmanship, engineering and creative vision behind world-class automotive design.
Among this year’s highlights is a special guest display from Lane Motor Museum of Nashville, home to the largest collection of European automobiles in America. Museum founder Jeff Lane will bring a selection of rare and unusual vehicles, including the one-of-a-kind 1932 Helicron, a propeller-driven French car that remains road-legal today. The morning begins with a low-speed parade as these machines drive into their display area along Range Line Road, offering a rare chance to see them in motion.
The event also features marque-specific gatherings for Porsche, BMW, Lotus and Mercedes-Benz, each hosted alongside its local enthusiast club, as well as select vehicles from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.
Attendees can explore the expansive collection while enjoying Carmel’s local galleries, boutique shopping and dining options. Designed for serious collectors and design appreciators alike, Artomobilia offers an immersive community experience where motor vehicles are celebrated as true works of art.
This year Artomobilia takes place alongside Carmel on Canvas merging the vibrant world of plein air painting with the sleek beauty of an array of cars. It will be an epic weekend that brings together art lovers and automobile enthusiasts for an unforgettable experience in Carmel.
