You don’t have to look far for a reason to visit Cass County. There are kayaks to be rented for a scenic trip along the Wabash and Eel rivers, the historic Dentzel Carousel to ride, racing to watch – from America’s oldest lawnmower race to the fastest microsprint track in Indiana —museums to explore and much more. While you’re here, you’ll need to eat, and you have come to the right place for that, too. Whether local or global is your choice, it’s all here.

The community’s commitment to good food is nowhere more apparent than at the Logansport Farmers Market, held at The Pavilion at the southeast corner of Fourth and Market streets from May to October. Directly adjacent is The Kitchen, a new facility aimed at supporting culinary businesses with space for demonstrations, development and preparation. You’ll find farmers markets in Royal Center and Onward, too.
May 9 is when Logansport High School holds its annual Multicultural Festival. This is when students celebrate the diversity in their school with booths, cultural dances, international fashion and food.
The Taste, a street fair organized by Logan’s Landing, returns to downtown Logansport on Aug. 8 with a summer evening of local food, drinks and entertainment.

A visit to Cass County isn’t complete without Spanish cheese dogs, ice cream, doughnuts or pizza. Our seasonal establishments are open for the summer, and you can also enjoy Salvadoran, Mexican, Guatemalan, Haitian and Thai-Philippine cuisine from local restaurants and food trucks. To add to the mix, several new national franchises have opened, too.
Music will fill the air downtown at special events and at a local park every Sunday night from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Why not pick up your favorite carryout and have a picnic? And thanks to the DORA program, you can enjoy cocktails, craft beer and wine with your feast all summer long.
